While everyone acknowledges the fight for beverage occasions is bigger and more dynamic than ever, listening closely to consumers and testing ideas that are aligned with core capabilities can yield unexpected gains.

The impacts of the dynamic market have included significant route to market disruption, including the exit of RNDC from California which has created a number of subsequent questions.

The approach to managing tariffs has varied widely and the impacts of tariffs cannot be understated across all touch points from the importer to the consumer and everything in between.

2025 wine M&A activity has been tempered by the combination of macroeconomic uncertainty and challenging wine industry trends. Those with a long-term view have transacted where there is a strategic fit. ​

A few themes that have emerged for the transactions that have closed include:

  • New private investor group interest has increased
